Ustaz Prof. Dato' Dr. Ahmad Hidayat Buang was appointed Chairman of the Shariah Supervisory Council of Bank Islam on 1 April 2015. He has been with the council since 2011.

He is currently a Professor at the Department of Shariah and Law, Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya. He has had stint as the academy's Director from October 2006 - January 2011. He also served as Deputy Director for the Research and Development section of the academy as well as its Head of Department Shariah and Law from 1997 – 1999.

He is currently holds the post of Chairman of the Shariah Committee for Takaful Ikhlas Berhad. Prior to that, he served as Shariah advisor for several financial institutions and organisations, which included CIMB Bank Berhad (2005-2006), OCBC Bank (2004-2005), Commerce Tijari Bank (2004-2005), Amanah Raya Unit Trust Management Sdn. Bhd. (2006-2007), ASM MARA Unit Trust Management Berhad (2004-2006), I-Free Capital Pte Ltd (Singapore) (2003-2005), Bumiputra Commerce Trustee Sdn. Bhd. (2002-2006) and Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (2002). He is also formerly a member of the Shariah Working Committee for Islamic Banking and Takaful for Bank Negara Malaysia (2003-2004) and a member of the Islamic Education Coordination Advisory Council for the Council of Rulers Malaysia (2008-2011).

He holds a Bachelor of Shariah from University of Malaya. He is also the holder of a Master of Law (School of Oriental and African Studies) and a doctorate in Doctor of Philosophy (School of Oriental and African Studies), both from University of London, UK.

Ustaz Dr. Ahmad Shahbari @ Sobri Salamon is the Chairman of the Shariah Advisory Body of Takaful Malaysia and Chairman of the Shariah Committee of BIMB Investment Management, as well as a member of the Shariah Supervisory Council of Bank Islam. He was previously the Chairman of the Shariah Supervisory Council of Bank Islam until 31 March 2015.

He was previously the Executive Chairman of Pusrawi Corporation Sdn. Bhd., a position he has held since 1996. He started his career in 1978 as a lecturer at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) for its Shariah Department, Faculty of Islamic Studies. He served as the university’s Coordinator for General Teachings from 1981-1982, and was subsequently appointed as Acting Head of Shariah Department in 1982. He also served as UKM's Programme Coordinator for Diploma and Certificate in Islamic Studies until 1983, and was appointed as an Associate Professor in the Shariah Department in 1984. He has had two stints as a lecturer at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM); the first was on secondment at IIUM’s Kulliyah of Economics from 1983-1984, and for the second stint, he lectured for Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyah of Law from 1986 - 1996. He then went on to become Executive Director of Pusat Rawatan Islam (Islamic Religious Council of Selangor or MAIS) from 1996-1999.

He previously served as Shariah advisor for Abrar Group (1996-1999), Arab Malaysia Merchant Bank (1996 – 1999), Arab Malaysian Finance (1996 - 1999), and PT Takaful Indonesia (2000-2011). He had served as a member of MAIS for 21 years since 1985, and is currently a member of the Shariah Committee of ASEAN ReTakaful International Ltd. and a member of the Islamic Consultative Council in the Prime Minister’s Office. He is an approved Individual Shariah Advisor by the Securities Commissions of Malaysia.

He was awarded the ‘Tokoh Ulamak Bestari Negeri Selangor’ recognition in 2000 and received the ‘Tokoh Ma’al Hijrah Negeri Selangor’s award in 2001. He has produced writings in educational history, economy, Islamic banking and Islamic law, for television and publication purposes. His body of work includes 14 books and translations of eight volumes of books on Islamic Jurisprudence by Dr. Wahbah Al-Zuhaily.

He holds a Bachelor of Shariah from Al-Azhar University, Egypt and a Master of Economic from Fairlaigh Dickinson University, USA. He obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Modern Middle Eastern History) doctorate from New York University, USA.

Ustazah Dr. Uzaimah Ibrahim was appointed as a member of the Shariah Supervisory Council in 2009. She is currently an Assistant Professor in Ahmad Ibrahim Kuliyyah of Laws (Department of Islamic Law), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

She is also a Shariah Advisor for Hong Leong Tokio Marine Takaful Berhad, a post she has heldsince 2006. Prior to that, she was a Shariah advisor for Hong Leong Islamic Bank Berhad and Hong Leong Bank Berhad. In 2005, she became the Deputy Director of the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute, IIUM, an international centre for education and research in Islamic finance.

She obtained her qualification as a Syar’ie lawyer in 1995 and has conducted various researches on Islamic commercial law, Islamic jurisprudence, Islamic banking law, derivatives and securitisation as well as takaful and corporate social responsibility. She has also given numerous presentations in seminars and workshops, and contributed a chapter to Halsbury’s Laws of Malaysia published by Malaysian Law Journal.

She holds degrees in LLB and LLB (Shariah) in addition to a Master in Comparative Law, all from International Islamic University Malaysia. She obtained her doctorate in Doctor of Philosophy from Universtiy of Wales, UK.

Ustazah Dr. Yasmin Hanani Mohd Safian was appointed as a member of the Shariah Supervisory Council of Bank Islam on 1 April 2015. She is also a member of the Syarak Consultative Committee of Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan. Dr. Yasmin is currently a senior lecturer for the Faculty of Shariah and Law at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM).

She has spent most of her professional career at USIM, starting out as a lecturer in 2003. She was appointed to her current position in 2007, and has had stint as Deputy Dean for USIM’s Graduates Learning Centre from 2011-2013. She served as Deputy Dean for the Faculty of Shariah and Law in 2012 before taking up the post of the faculty’s Dean, a position she held on until September 2014.

She has published several books on Islamic law, and has contributed to a number of journals which included Malaysian Law Journal of Shariah & Law and The Journal of Muamalat & Islamic Finance Research. She has also published and presented several research papers on Islamic banking & finance.

She holds a BA (Hons.) in Shariah from Al-Azhar University, Egypt and a MA in Islamic Studies from University of Birmingham, UK. She obtained her PhD in Arab and Islamic Studies from University of Exeter, UK.

Sahibus Samahah Dato’ Dr Haji Anhar Haji Opir was appointed as a member of Shariah Supervisory Council in April 2017. He is currently the Deputy Mufti for the State of Selangor. Sahibus Samahah Dato’ Dr Haji Anhar Opir also a Shariah Committee member for Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB), and SIRIM Berhad.

Besides that, he is also member of Selangor Fatwa Committee, Selangor Falak Committee, and Curricular Assesment committee for Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor (JAIS). He is also member of Hisbah (audit) Committee for Skim Infaq Lil Waqaf Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (ANGKASA) and member of Advisory Committee for Pembangunan Asnaf Lembaga Zakat Selangor (MAIS).

Prior to joining Bank Islam, Sahibus Samahah Dato’ Dr Haji Anhar Haji Opir was a part time lecturer at Pusat Pemikiran dan Kefahaman Islam (CTU) in UiTM Pahang and UiTM Melaka respectively. He also has served as Senior Lecturer at Islamic Education Department, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) since August 2007.

Sahibus Samahah Dato’ Dr Haji Anhar Haji Opir received the award of ‘Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Selangor (DPMS)’, which carries the title Dato’ in 2017.

Sahibus Samahah Dato’ Dr Haji Anhar Haji Opir has no family relationship with any director and/or major shareholder of Bank Islam. He has no conflict of interest with Bank Islam and neither has he been charged with any offences.

Ustaz Saiful Anuar Hambali has been in the banking industry for over 20 years and currently is the Deputy Chief Shariah Officer of Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad. He is the Secretary of Shariah Supervisory Council of Bank Islam and sits in several internal committees of the Bank including Financing Committee A & B, Underwriting & Investment Committee, Asset Liability Committee, Product Management Committee, Management Risk Control Committee, Operational Risk Control Committee, Compliance & Governance Working Group and Zakat & Charity Committee.

Prior to joining Bank Islam, he was the Head of Shariah Supervisory Department, Affin Islamic Bank Berhad. He was also working with other several Islamic financial institutions such as RHB Islamic Bank Berhad, OCBC Bank (M) Berhad, Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad and Bank Bumiputera Malaysia Berhad in different business areas including Shariah advisory & compliance, product & business development, consumer banking and project management office.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rahimi Osman was appointed as a member of the Shariah Advisory Body of Takaful Malaysia on 12 January 2010. He is currently the Dean of the Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Shah Alam.

Dr. Muhammad Rahimi joined UiTM, Shah Alam in 1988 as an academic staff at the Centre for Islamic Education. At UiTM, he held a number of administrative posts, which included Coordinator of Islamic Social Science, Head of Zakat Unit, Deputy Director for Centre for Islamic Thought and Understanding (CITU) and Director of the Zakat Research Institute of Malaysia (IKaZ).

Dr. Muhammad Rahimi currently serves as a member of the Curriculum Review Committee for Muamalat, Takaful, Islamic Banking and Finance of the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia. He is also a member of the Senate University as well as a member of the Dean Council of Islamic Studies, Higher Learning Institutions of Malaysia and several other committees inside and outside of the university. Dr. Muhammad Rahimi has written books and presented papers at national and international seminars related to Islamic economics, Islamic banking and finance. His articles have been published in local and international journals.

Dr. Muhammad Rahimi holds a Bachelor of Shariah (Hons) from University of Malaya. He obtained his Master in Islamic Economics from the University of Yarmouk, Jordan and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Islamic Banking from International Islamic University Malaysia

Dato' Wan Mohamad Dato' Sheikh Abdul Aziz

Dato' Wan Mohamad Dato' Sheikh Abdul Aziz was appointed as a member of the Shariah Advisory Body of Takaful Malaysia on 1 June 2011.

Dato' Wan Mohamad started his career in 1978 as an Assistant Director and later as Senior Assistant Director at INDAH Institut Dakwah dan Latihan Islam of Islamic Affairs Division, Prime Minister's Department. He then served as Religious Attache / Atase Agama at the Malaysian High Commisions's Office in London for three years from 1982. Upon returning to Malaysia in 1986, Dato' Wan Mohamad was promoted to Chief Assistant Director of Islamic Affairs Division and thereafter, as the Chief of Amar Ma͛'ruf Division and Chief Registrar of Marriage, Divorce and Ruju͛ at the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (Jabatan Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan or JAWI) before serving as Chief Assistant Director of Social, Administration and Economy at the Islamic Research Centre in 1993. In 1994, he joined Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia or JAKIM) as Principal of Darul Quran, and went on to assume various posts at JAKIM including Director of Family, Social and Mosque Management Division (KESUMA), Director of Research Division and Deputy Director General (Operation). Dato' Wan Mohammed became JAKIM's Director General in 2007 before his retirement on 22 April 2011. He also served as Secretary to the National Fatwa Committee while serving as the Director General.

Dato' Wan Mohamad was previously a member of the Shariah Advisory Council of Bank Negara Malaysia from 2008-2010. He is currently a Board member of the Institute of Islamic Understanding Malaysia (Institut Kefahaman Islam Malaysia or IKIM) and a member of the Hajj Advisory Committee (Tabung Haji-JAKIM).

Dato' Wan Mohammed holds a Diploma in Education and a Bachelor of Islamic Studies (Honours), both from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, as well as a Diploma in Management Science from the National Institute of Public Administration (Institut Tadbiran Negara or INTAN). He has been a member of the British Institute of Management (MBIM) since 1985.

He obtained a Bachelor of Shariah & Management and a Master of Shariah with specialization in Islamic Finance (Finance Fiqh), from the University of Malaya in 2003 and 2007 respectively. In 2015, he obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Islamic Economic and Banking, from the University of Yarmouk, Jordan.

He started his career at the University of Malaya in 2003 as a parttime tutor until he became a fellow in 2005. Currently he is a senior lecturer at the Department of Shariah and Management, Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya. He is currently a member of Shariah Advisor Committee of Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad, and Sabnuha Jewellery PLT. In 2016 he was appointed as a member of the Muamalat Expert Panel, Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM).

He is the founder and administrator of “muamalat.my” that strive to become a medium of education in enhancing public awareness in Islamic Finance and Takaful since 2013.

She obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Islamic Banking and Finance from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2014, a Masters in Islamic Finance from the IIUM in 2009 and a Bachelor’s degree in Shariah and Management (with Distinction) from the University of Malaya in 2006.

She started her career with IIUM in 2007 as a Research Assistant in the Department of Communication, Departments of Finance and Business & Administration until 2012. She also served as a Part Time Lecturer at the Department of Business & Administration from January 2008 until she became an Academic Trainee at the same department in 2009.

She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Finance, IIUM and also a member of the Shariah Committee of UOB Malaysia. Her areas of expertise include Islamic Finance, Banking, Takaful, Islamic marketing and Waqf. She has published her works in national and international journals including in the Australian Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences, Journal of Islamic Finance and Business Research, Journal of Islamic Finance and International Journal of atThaqafah.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Hons) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and Masters in Law from Harvard Law School, United States of America and the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.

He started his career in 1991 as a Lecturer at the Kulliyyah of Laws, IIUM. He is an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1991. He joined the law firm of Messrs. Zaid Ibrahim & Co. in 1999 and was a partner at the firm from 2006 until 2010. He was also appointed as a Director of ZI Shariah Advisory Services Sdn Bhd, a Shariah compliance advisory firm registered as a Shariah Adviser for Sukuk and Islamic capital market products with the Securities Commission of Malaysia from 2007 until 2010. He was also a Cambridge Commonwealth Trust Scholar at the University of Cambridge, a Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies Scholar at the IIUM and Kulliyyah Award for Best Overall Student in Law from the IIUM.

Currently, he heads Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill’s Islamic Finance practice and advises on Islamic finance matters as well as corporate legal and regulatory developments. He has advised local and international clients on issues pertaining to the legal and regulatory framework on Islamic banking and finance, as well as matters relating to applicable Shariah standards for Islamic financial/investment transactions in Malaysia and abroad. These include structuring and documentation of Islamic financing facilities and investment structures such as Murabahah (cost plus sale), Commodity Murabahah/Tawarruq (monetisation transaction), Ijarah (Islamic lease/hire), Bai’ Istisna’(construction contract), Bai’ Salam (advance sale), Bai’ Bithaman Ajil (sale with deferred payment), Bai’ ‘Inah (sale and buyback transaction), Musharakah (profit and loss sharing structure) and Mudarabah (profit sharing structure).

He has presented at various seminars and conferences on legal and regulatory issues pertaining to Islamic finance. He is a registered arbitrator for Islamic finance in the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration, an accreditation panel member of the Finance Accreditation Agency Malaysia, a member of the Islamic Finance Committee of the Malaysian Bar Council, and has also previously lectured on a part-time/guest lecturer basis at the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, IIUM on Islamic finance and other legal subjects. He has also written for publishers such as Sweet & Maxwell as co-author of a book “The Law and Practice of Islamic Banking and Finance” and “An Introduction to Islamic and Conventional Corporate Finance”. He has been recognised as one of the leading lawyers in his field, through publications such as the International Financial Law Review’s Guide to the World’s Leading Islamic Finance Lawyers and Expert Guides, Legal 500, Chambers Asia as well as Islamic Finance News.

Emeritus Prof. Dato' Paduka Dr. Mahmood Zuhdi Haji Abd. Majid has been a member of the Shariah Advisory Committee of BIMB Securities since June 2008. He also sits on the Shariah Committees of Public Islamic Bank Bank and AIA Public Takaful as the Chairman. Prof. Dato' Dr. Mahmood is a member of the Shariah Committee for all Shariah funds managed by Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) and a member of Shariah Advisory Board of AsSalihin Trustee.

Prof. Dato' Dr. Mahmood specialises in History of Islamic Law, the Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence and the Administration of Islamic Criminal Law. An accomplished writer, he has published numerous Shariah-related papers over the years dissecting into his area of specialisation. Prof. Dato' Dr. Mahmood has also written a number of articles, which include 'Fiqh Malaysia: Konsep dan Cabaran' (2000), 'Peranan Zakat Dalam Pembangunan Ummah' (2002) and 'Teori Politik Islam: Memahami siasah Syariah' (2003). He is the recipient of the 'Dato' Paduka Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia' (DJMK) title, conferred by His Royal Highness Sultan of Kelantan.

Prof. Dato' Dr. Mahmood holds a Bachelor Degree in Shariah & Law from the Islamic Centre For Higher Studies.

Ir. Dr. Muhamad Fuad Abdullah was appointed a member of the Shariah Advisory Committee of BIMB Securities on 1 June 2011. A designated person-in-charge of all Shariah matters in BIMB Securities, Dr. Muhammad Fuad is a registered Shariah Adviser with the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), which qualifies him to advise on Shariahcompliant products and services regulated by the SC.

Dr. Muhammad Fuad is also the Chairman of the Shariah Committee of MIDF (Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad) Group of Companies and a member of the Group Shariah Committee of MNRB Holdings Bhd. A registered Shariah lawyer of Majlis Agama Islam Perak, he also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka. Dr. Muhammad Fuad currently sits on the boards of Sime Darby Berhad, Sime Darby Energy Sdn. Bhd., Sime Darby Utilities Sdn. Bhd., MIDF, MIDF Property Berhad, Mesiniaga Berhad and Institut Kefahaman Islam Malaysia.

Previously a board member for Sime Darby Property Berhad, Dr. Muhammad Fuad had served as Chairman of Hospital Pusrawi Sdn. Bhd., and held various posts which included; member of Shariah Advisory Board of Halal Foundation (Labuan); member of Board of Governors at Al-Basirah International Islamic School Gombak; member of the Advisory Board of World Assembly of Muslim Youths Malaysia; member of the Board of Studies of the B.A. (Fiqh and Usul Fiqh) Programme at International Islamic University of Malaysia; member of Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan; an Adjunct Professor of Universiti Teknologi Petronas; and an Adjunct Staff of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Universiti Putra Malaysia.

Dr. Muhammad Fuad holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering , both from University of Southampton, UK. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Jayyid) in Shariah from University of Jordan and a Doctor of Philosophy in Muslim Civilization doctorate from the University of Aberdeen, UK.

Dr. Zaharuddin Abdul Rahman graduated with Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Usuluddin (Minor in Exergesis of the AlQuran and Public Administration) from University of Malaya, Malaysia, Masters in Fiqh & Usul Fiqh from University Al-Yarmouk, Jordan and PhD in Islamic Studies & Islamic Finance, University of Wales, United Kingdom.

He is an Assistant Professor at the Kulliyyah of Economic and Management Sciences, International Islamic University, Malaysia. He serves as the Chairman of the Shariah Committee of EXIM Bank Berhad and BNP Paribas Najmah Malaysia Berhad. He also sits on the Shariah Committees of Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Malaysia, ACR ReTakaful SEA, Malaysia and Bahrain, Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB), Yasmin Holdings Group Sdn. Bhd. Malaysia, Salam Capital Sdn. Bhd., Onexox Sdn Bhd and a few other Companies.

Dr Zaharuddin is also the Member of Fatwa Council, State of Perlis, Malaysia, Member of Economics Cluster of National Consultative Council, Member of the International Union of Muslim Scholar, President of the Multaqa Asatizah & Du’at Malaysia (MURSHID), Member of the Association of Shariah Advisors in Islamic Finance, Fellow of the Muamalat & Dakwah, Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia and Registered Shariah Adviser (Individual) for Islamic Securities with the Securities Commission of Malaysia. He has published a few books, amongst others such as Money, Islam and You, Contracts and products of Islamic Banking, Contemporary Islamic Finance Architecture, Panduan Perbankan Islam, A Comprehensive Prayer Formula and Murabahah : Teori dan Aplikasi Semasa. He has also written Articles in news locally and abroad, published Journals and presented Academic Papers in National and International Conferences.

Ustaz Dr. Ahmad Shahbari @ Sobri Salamon is the Chairman of the Shariah Advisory Body of Takaful Malaysia and Chairman of the Shariah Committee of BIMB Investment Management, as well as a member of the Shariah Supervisory Council of Bank Islam. He was previously the Chairman of the Shariah Supervisory Council of Bank Islam until 31 March 2015.

He was previously the Executive Chairman of Pusrawi Corporation Sdn. Bhd., a position he has held since 1996. He started his career in 1978 as a lecturer at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) for its Shariah Department, Faculty of Islamic Studies. He served as the university’s Coordinator for General Teachings from 1981-1982, and was subsequently appointed as Acting Head of Shariah Department in 1982. He also served as UKM's Programme Coordinator for Diploma and Certificate in Islamic Studies until 1983, and was appointed as an Associate Professor in the Shariah Department in 1984. He has had two stints as a lecturer at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM); the first was on secondment at IIUM’s Kulliyah of Economics from 1983-1984, and for the second stint, he lectured for Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyah of Law from 1986 - 1996. He then went on to become Executive Director of Pusat Rawatan Islam (Islamic Religious Council of Selangor or MAIS) from 1996-1999.

He previously served as Shariah advisor for Abrar Group (1996-1999), Arab Malaysia Merchant Bank (1996 – 1999), Arab Malaysian Finance (1996 - 1999), and PT Takaful Indonesia (2000-2011). He had served as a member of MAIS for 21 years since 1985, and is currently a member of the Shariah Committee of ASEAN ReTakaful International Ltd. and a member of the Islamic Consultative Council in the Prime Minister’s Office. He is an approved Individual Shariah Advisor by the Securities Commissions of Malaysia.

He was awarded the ‘Tokoh Ulamak Bestari Negeri Selangor’ recognition in 2000 and received the ‘Tokoh Ma’al Hijrah Negeri Selangor’s award in 2001. He has produced writings in educational history, economy, Islamic banking and Islamic law, for television and publication purposes. His body of work includes 14 books and translations of eight volumes of books on Islamic Jurisprudence by Dr. Wahbah Al-Zuhaily.

He holds a Bachelor of Shariah from Al-Azhar University, Egypt and a Master of Economic from Fairlaigh Dickinson University, USA. He obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Modern Middle Eastern History) doctorate from New York University, USA.

Ustaz Dr. Yusof Ramli was appointed as a member of the Shariah Committee of BIMB Investment Management on 1 November 2008. Until his recent retirement in 2015, he had been a lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) since 1982. He had also held positions at UiTM's Islamic Education Centre, as Coordinator in 1992-1994 and Deputy Chief from July 1994 until 1996.

Ustaz Dr. Yusof is currently a Shariah Advisor for Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad, a role he has assumed since January 2014. He has had stint as Shariah advisor for various institutions which included Unit Agihan Zakat & Sedekah UiTM Shah Alam (2011-2013), Koperasi Kakitangan UiTM Berhad (2010-2015) and Warisan Mukmin Sdn. Bhd. (2005-2013). Dr. Yusof has written numerous papers related to Islamic finance particularly in the areas of Faraidh and Mudharabah.

Ustaz Dr. Yusof is a holder of a PhD in Shariah (Muamalah Islam) from University of Malaya. He obtained a Master in Shariah (Faraidh & Inheritance Administration) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1991, and a Bachelor's Degree in Shariah.

Ustazah Dr. Asmak Ab. Rahman was appointed as a member of the Shariah Committee of BIMB Investment Management Berhad on 1 November 2008. She is currently a senior lecturer for Department of Shariah and Economics, Academy of Islamic Studies at University of Malaya (UM).

Ustazah Dr. Asmak has been teaching at UM since 2005. She started her career as a research assistant in a fatwa research project, before being appointed as a lecturer after completing her PhD in 2005. She was promoted as senior lecturer in 2007.

Ustazah Dr. Asmak is an Exco for the Association of Shariah Advisors in Islamic Finance Malaysia (ASAS). She is currently a Shariah Advisor for Ambank Islamic, SME Bank Berhad and Hong Leong MSIG Takaful. Ustazah Dr. Asmak has written and published several books on takaful, Islamic economics, Islamic banking and waqf. Her works has been published in a number of international journals.

Ustazah Dr. Asmak is a holder of a PhD in Shariah and Economics from University of Malaya. She also obtained her BA and MA in Shariah and Economics from the same university.
